Shift
Self bending paperclip
Bend a paperclip in your spectator’s hands.
29,99€
A bent piece of wire, held gingerly at the fingertips, slowly begins to contort, bending like it has a life of its own. Shifting the wire to present a better view, it continues to bend up and in on itself, slowly taking shape to form the large loop of a bent paperclip.
The wire is then placed in the outstretched hand of a spectator and covered, the spectator shrieking as the wire continues to move in closed hand. When it is removed, a perfectly formed paperclip remains.
This Paperclip is the perfect item to bring out in an intimate setting with just one or two spectators, but plays big enough to entertain an entire room.
The package includes 2 special shift gimmicks and an instruction manual.
Important points of Shift:
- It takes less than 2 minutes to prepare.
- It is angle proof. It truly looks like real magic, because what the audience sees in this effect is happening for real.
- Very easy to perform.
- The reactions you get with this are crazy.

This trick is so visually stunning it looks unreal. Although I am not a Mentalist I have decided to buy it and have a look and I am very happy that I did. The set up is a bit tricky and you need to time it perfectly. I think it’s worth it.

A good effect but cannot be performed in ALL conditions. With perfect timing and setup it can fry your audience.

I received two paperclips. the setup is easy. Nothing is explained, how to get into the effect and how to store the clip before performance. The paperclip, after the setup, will immediatly begin to bend back, no matter how long you c++l them. honestly, I never ever saw a metal, that reacts so fast. that said, it’s not imppossible to put the clip on a table and leave it there for just a few seconds. Timing is key here.
