So I noticed that a couple reviews kind of contradicted what Matt said. The 6 and 9 of diamonds are easily confused. The idea that the “hooks” facing outward or inward decides if it is a 6 or a 9 is inaccurate. I you are holding the 6 and the 9 and the “hooks” are facing opposite, then rotate one card 180 degrees and then tell me the “hooks” are how you decide. It is obvious here that there was a printing mistake.. After printing thousands of cards and realizing a mistake was made would be super expensive. However it is something that can be dealt with over time. Also, my “VERY FIRST” trick, made me look dumb. Obviously I should have practiced more, but I just got them and wanted to try them off the rip! It was informal but still embarrassing. Usually cards are marked in upper left or right corner, no matter how the card is rotated.

I just received my red Keeper Master decks today and of course had read the reviews about the 6 & 9 of diamonds issue, and the conflicting info in the reviews.
Two things on this issue:
– The reviews which indicate it’s a problem are correct. Due to the polarity issue with a card being right side up or upside down, this is a serious oversight IMHO and should have been dealt with during the conception phase (sorry Adam, this is a real issue despite the explanation and suggestion to ask the spec about low or high, not practical and a huge oversight)
– The good news is that for all Adam’s work on this, it’s an easily fixed issue; quickly, cheaply, and unnoticeable to a spec. The red on these happens to be indiscernible from the red of a retractable ultra fine Sharpie (if you dont have these, Amazon has a red-blue-black set cheap, they’ll last you years of deck marking). Using a bright light so you can see well, simply make a tiny dot of red in the diamond of the 6 or 9 in the corner closest to the number, giving it a light quick whisk with a fingertip toward the red of the card, not into the white of the diamond. I marked my 9s this way and it’s perfect. There is no shine whatsoever. The idea here is to slightly alter the diamond so it’s obviously not quite a diamond, but you know it’s the 9 (or the 6, your choice) due to the slight mod. Easily seen by the worker and as imperceptible as the markings themselves to the spec. Don’t forget to do all 4 marks on the card and do the same corner of the diamond (I did the corner of the diamond closest to the marked number )
Other than this issue, these are brilliant and feel fantastic. A marked deck with the versatility that was put into the markings, having this gorgeous feel, and the unbelievable artwork of Oban Jones indeed makes this deck live up to it’s moniker, this deck is DEFINITELY a keeper! Keep up the great work!!

I purchased this deck primarily for the markings and the price. I have been very impressed with the way the cards handle and how they feel in my hands. The marking system is very simple and easy to see, but blends in well enough that you will not notice it unless you are looking for it. I highly recommend this deck.
