New Routines
Psypher is extremely easy to use but throw in some basic card technique and routining from B. Smith and your levels of deception and impact just went up a few notches. Of course if you want to sit back and let the gimmick do all the work go right ahead, that’s what it’s here for! Here are some of the routines taught on the DVD:
E-Z – This effect is one of the most pure mentalism effects conceivable with a deck of cards. Your spectator is asked to think of ANY card in the deck, write it down on a piece of paper, and put that piece of paper in their pocket. All of which is done while your back is turned; you can even be in another room! When you return, you remove the cards from the box and place one face down card on the table. Ask the spectator to name the card they are merely thinking of… the spectator turns the card over and it is the thought of card!! Card magic doesn’t get any more powerful!
Time zone – Imagine a spectator thinks of a time, a second spectator removes 3 cards from the deck, when the thought of time is named the second spectator reveals her cards… you guessed it, the value of the cards match the thought of time!
Name and Card Routine – This is B. Smiths killer card routine with multiple, impossible climaxes! This is one of the best ways to get someones though without them knowing it. You can come up with your own tricks in seconds if you like to do that. The effects on the DVD are very good also. I have preformed a lot with this in different situations. I was able to make a couple of “set ups” with what was given me with the DVD. I am currently thinking of buying more “material” for more “set ups”, and another pen. Probably the sharpie, Just so I have another one on hand. It can look like a lot to carry with you, but if you usually carry a box of cards and a sharpie then you will be able to handle this. I enjoy the reactions, and you always seem to get a great one with this. This is a Classic!

I gotta admit, I have seen better impression devices and I disagree that “it’ll be the last impression device you’ll need” (I bought two other ones after this).
The device itself works really well. However I’d strongly suggest to use in conjunction with cards only. There is a possibility that you can use it with a pad as shown on the promo vid but I found it a bit impractical. Furthermore, using it with the “business card wallet”, if I can call it that, is impractical.
However using it with playing cards is a good idea and it goes really well.
For the price I think it’s a very good product.

There are several different ways that Psypher can be used in any type of magic (street, stage, etc..). I will use it as the starter to my “card tricks”. This was very easy to learn and the set up is quick. My wife and kids, who get to see a lot of magic, really liked Psypher.
