New Routines
Psypher is extremely easy to use but throw in some basic card technique and routining from B. Smith and your levels of deception and impact just went up a few notches. Of course if you want to sit back and let the gimmick do all the work go right ahead, that’s what it’s here for! Here are some of the routines taught on the DVD:
E-Z – This effect is one of the most pure mentalism effects conceivable with a deck of cards. Your spectator is asked to think of ANY card in the deck, write it down on a piece of paper, and put that piece of paper in their pocket. All of which is done while your back is turned; you can even be in another room! When you return, you remove the cards from the box and place one face down card on the table. Ask the spectator to name the card they are merely thinking of… the spectator turns the card over and it is the thought of card!! Card magic doesn’t get any more powerful!
Time zone – Imagine a spectator thinks of a time, a second spectator removes 3 cards from the deck, when the thought of time is named the second spectator reveals her cards… you guessed it, the value of the cards match the thought of time!
Name and Card Routine – This is B. Smiths killer card routine with multiple, impossible climaxes! Imagine not only being able to know the card someone is thinking of, but also know when they THINK ‘stop’ while dealing through the deck. This trick I purchased at the “Magic expo” and was unable to get it to work ( I am idiot). Called and complained told Steve the pen did not work. He sent me a new pen No charge. Thanks Steve you Rock. As it turns out it still did not work. I called back and he took my number and had Brent call me. This was the magician I seen at the show. ( He is really good).He called me and explained what I was doing wrong.
I LOVE the trick and will purchase the Refill ( not required). Its so good I will use two and add it to my table hopping.

This is an excellent impression device. Works extremely well, and the instruction on the DVD is top notch as well. I really like the way they help you turn the gimmick(s) into something more real-world acceptable.
I have only one problem with this item, and it’s a pricing issue. I decided to purchase another sheet, and the price is the same as the entire gimmick/DVD package. While I realize that DVD’s don’t cost much to make … they DO cost something, and the included pen sells separately for a decent cost as well. How is it possible that they can both be included for the same cost as buying the sheet by itself? This doesn’t make sense. The replacement or additional sheets should be less expensive. If this were the case, even minorly, I would gladly have given this a 5-star rating.

I don’t write many reviews, but I thought I would chime in on this product. I have recently purchased it and am thoroughly pleased.
Positives: The biggest positive in my mind is that the Psypher gimmick integrates into existing items that you either already use in your act or are familiar with. Business cards, playing cards, note pad, etc. This is not a special wallet, or envelope or pad that you have to ring in when ready. Also, the instruction and effects provided are top notch. I was stunned at how many great ideas were shared in the instructional video.
Negatives: You will need more Sharpies, and at €14.95, that’s a little steep for the amateur. Working pros won’t care, but I plan on using it a lot. Also, the pens went off the market for a while. Will that happen again, I don’t know. Next, the information Psypher gathers for you is not like a neon sign. I can see this being an issue where the lighting is dim. I don’t own other items that do the same job as Psypher, so I cannot comment on how it compare.
