Micro Psychic

Astonishing visual magic.
99,99€
Micro Psychic was one of the hits of the 2012 Blackpool Convention.
See why Micro Psychic has received rave reviews and comments from Charlie Frye, Michael Weber, Gaetan Bloom and many other top names in magic.
A spectator screws a nut onto a bolt about half way up and then you hold it at your fingertips. The audience can always see your empty hands. Suddenly the nut starts to rotate and unwind off the bolt and finally drops off the end. It looks like some ghostly power is unscrewing the nut and bolt. It can be done visually or under a cup or handkerchief.
Here are a few considerations:
- Nothing to hide in your hands.
- No complicated body hook ups.
- Can be immediately repeated as many times as you want.
- Fully examinable before and after the effect.
- Easy battery replacement.
- Uses a battery commonly sold in stores worldwide.
- Six months warranty.
- No clothing limitation. You can wear short-sleeves. You don’t even have to be wearing clothes!
- No switches are required. In fact, no sleight of hand is needed.
- No suspicious moves.
- Audience themselves screw the nut onto the bolt and also you can hand the bolt and nut to them immediately after the effect.
The gimmick is self-contained WITHIN the bolt and nut yet your spectators can freely handle and examine the props. To see Micro Psychic in action is to see a modern marvel of engineering. To play with or to use Micro Psychic is to fall in love with it. It’s a joy to use, to watch, and to perform. Micro Psychic may be one of the most amazing magic inventions you will see.

I’m taking my time working with this one! It’s not one that I want school kids to figure out. I might be able to get away with a bandaid on my finger to hide the magnet. I have found that it works well in proximity to several things – magnetic coins, magnet in thumb tip, F1 Nitro Wallet, Sharpie. I keep finding new ways to make it work!

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and tried it out for the first time today. As I practiced with it, I thought it was way too noisy. However, I did it in a fairly noisy environment and it was no problem at all and the reactions were priceless. I then thought that I could do it but only in noisy places. Just for kicks, I tried it again later in the day in a much quieter environment and it still worked like a charm and nobody suspected. I think part of the problem is that we practice with it in very quiet environments and we know exactly what to expect. This isn’t the case with spectators and with minimal “outside” noise, they won’t suspect a thing. I had a bandaid with the gimmick underneath it and it worked perfectly.

I am just making a suggestion or thinking out loud! I was wondering if anyone has thought to try using a thin lubricant on the bolt like WD-40 or something like that. I think it might help to absorb a portion of the sound some of you are hearing while causing the nut less friction while it is moving. I would not use anything that is viscous or to thick. Again, just a thought.
