As you can see from the other reviews, the gimmicked case is the perfect “fly under the radar” tool for so many effects. I gave it 4 stars not for the effect or its potential. Those are worth 8 stars. I was surprised when it came, it was folded flat. You have to put it together, meaning there is an adhesive strip on the bottom that glues the bottom shut (none of this has anything to do with the trick). Sounds like no biggie, right? Well, I suggest putting a deck of cards in the box first (it does not come with any) before adhering the bottom shut. You need to get the case “perfectly square” before adhering the bottom. With the cards inside , this will help you. I failed to do that and I aligned it incorrectly and had to peel it back and start again. The adhesive then wouldn’t hold. In my opinion, they should have just sent you a deck already made with a deck of cards inside. For the price point of the effect, how much is it to include a cheap deck of Bicycle cards? I’m sure they did this to cut down on shipping costs by sending it flat. Also, there were some portions of the case that “hide what makes this work” that needed additional glue. So I took a star away for a bit of shoddy workmanship. Once I took care of that, it’s golden! Be aware of these things and pull the trigger to purchase it!

This is easily the best utility device I’ve bought – hands down. You can perform several different effects with this device, it resets quickly (though you will need a brief distraction to reset), is incredibly easy to use, and will pass a cursory examination by laymen. The suggested routines are great to start, but the possibilities with this device are truly staggering and go well beyond the suggestions. At only €35 this is a steal and is absolutely a must buy for any practicing or aspiring magician – it’s truly that good.

Absolute GENIUS is Chatelain! He has done it yet again. Only issue is it has to remain where the spectator can’t see inside until after. Other than that, it is amazing. So many great uses for this gimmick.
