This is one of the strongest effects you can do with a Sharpie marker.
A Sharpie is placed on a table or on a glass. The performer concentrates and the pen falls dramatically to the floor. Simple, direct yet powerful. Both Banachek and Ryan have had people screaming and even running out of a room!
With this updated version by Philip Ryan you can now control the timing of the drop – making it take 15 seconds or up to 2 minute depending on how dramatic you want this to be.
Some key points to remeber:
You can control the time of the drop of the pen
No magnets or threads
You can be as far away as you like from the pen when it falls
Includes gimmick Sharpie plus download video
Perform surrounded anytime, anywhere
Easy to do!

This is a clever device that works pretty good. The Sharpie looks like the real deal. I ding it one point for the following:
1. There really doesn’t seem to be a very reliable way to get good timing down – and timing is everything on this. You need time for patter and acting, because standing there with your neck veins popping from exertion for 45 secs isn’t fun and looks silly.
2. Yes it is a neat effect, but there really is a lack of a routine with this that would make much of an impact. The impact just seems to be the falling.
3. The Sharpie Pen is not able to be examined. The top is glued on. I think you could solve that by gluing a false tip that would allow the top to be pulled off and the pen shown…maybe?
Anyway, its a fun trick and I am still working on a routine to use…maybe a local spirit? Or some form of divination.

This is visual mentalism. I ordered this from another website upon its release. I used to do effect called Perplexing Pen until the pen stopped working. I waited and waited and waited for the magic community to release something similar and here comes Fall. I guess since Banacheck is involved, the mechanism behind the effect is similar to the PK Pen and Perplexing Pen. I hope my pen lasts a long time.
To the product itself…You receive a box with a Sharpie brand pen inside that is gimmicked and a link to the tutorial video.
Do not fiddle with the Sharpie pen yet until you watch the tutorial video. Trust me on this.
The video explains the gimmick well and how to use and present it. It is a bare bones, to the point explanation so be free to use your creativity in your presentations.
I have used similar gimmicks in the past to achieve the effect that Fall presents and I can say that it is killer.
I’m not sure how long this gimmick will last. If you know how the mechanism works, you will know what I mean. Only time will tell.
Present this effect wisely and you will have a miracle in your repertoire.

… this Sharpie seems like a normal Sharpie. The quality seems really good! But the problem i have it’s that my Sharpie can sit on a glass for hours and he never fall!!! I don’t understand why but this Sharpie doesn’t work with me! It’s a shame… 🙁
