Well, I was very surprised and extremely pleased.
The video was very informative with excellent advice.
I practiced it for a few days and then was at the 99 in
Nashua NH performing table hopping magic.
Every now and then I’d bring out Ignition along with my
business card.
They would examine the card and quickly give it back.
I could almost hear them say “yeah Magic-chick, don’t want
your card just show me a trick”.
Then, using the same card I performed Ignition.
After the illusion they immediately grabbed for the key and the card.
Not once did they return my business card.
(I did get the key back every time but at times it was a struggle LOL)
A fantastically simple yet powerful trick.

This is one of the very best magic purchases I’ve ever made. It’s a bit pricy, but well worth the investment if you are a serious magician and want to elicit a gasping response. This is my rationale: easy to perform, but packs a huge punch and hits them right between the eyes. Also, I prefer the more organic forms of magic, i.e. using everyday, ordinary objects. I agree with Chris, you don’t want to appear as just coming from a magic shop and saying, ‘Hey, watch what I can do with this’. Keys, like money, are something that we carry on us every day, so there’s no suspicion that we are using a gimmicked device with some hidden trap door. You can pull this off on the fly, anytime, anywhere. That’s a huge plus to any magician!
It is super easy to perform. It doesn’t require the typical sleight of hand techniques that some tricks require, and with a minimal amount of practice, you can do the impossible.
The key is very well made as well as the gimmick. There has been some debate as to whether or not this particular style of key looks like a real ignition key since it doesn’t have the remote door lock/unlock buttons. If someone should ever question me, I’m simply going to tell them that it’s a key to my riding tractor mower, which 99% of people cannot dispute.
The carabiner quick-disconnect item that comes with Ignition is easy to manipulate to remove the key from my keychain. At first, I had some doubts and it was difficult to remove. But once I learned how to work the device, it’s real simple.
The get-ready stage is very simple and easy to do. There are no unusual moves or moves required that would arouse suspicion (another big selling feature for me).
The DVD is rather short, but justifiably so. There is no reason to belabor the trick as it’s easy to perform. Chris explains in detail what you need to know. It’s easy to perform, and his teaching is straightforward. The quality of the DVD is 9 out of 10 with no boring background music.
The cleanup is good too. I’ve always been a big fan of magic tricks that can be closely examined. Your spectator(s) will NEVER figure this one out, including a lot of magicians who already understand the pen-through-dollar concept.
This is something I will always have on me should I have to perform on a moments notice. Chris did an outstanding job, and I am going to rate this as a 6, well a 5 star purchase.

Tricks that you see performed in videos are often misleading, or shadow the truth as to (1) difficulty of the trick (2) what the audience can see relating to angles (3) forget to mention that the gimmicks are a little less than what you might expect in quality. I never write reviews, however this one is worth the effort and I’m like most of you and hate to waste my hard earned money on a bad trick. Please be one of the first to buy this trick. I watched the video from beginning to end, practiced for 5 minutes and did this trick for some friends. They thought I had super powers and could not stop talking about how great this performance was. I consider this to be the perfect trick, relatively easy , no bad angles, great quality, and I was not paid to write this review! The price might be a little high, but totally worth it for a valuable trick.
